Fear Not, this is Love

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18

Two imperfect being in the hands of a perfect lover.

How does a person love another person despite all the flaws and imperfections. We often realized that we all undeserving to be loved. And so we hide and we fear rejections.

But people are people and made for connections. We still try and got curious on this so called love. We look once more and see it, it catches our attention and draw us to near to be captive by its charm.

And so like a diligent farmer who planted the rice to harvest at the right time, we invest all our resources on this love. We water it with beautiful things, and dig deep to nourish its roots. And we sometimes got hurt by some of its thorns and thistles, but the wound will eventually heal and we will look forward still for the right season.

The lover may not be perfect and so the love given away but it can be wonderful knowing the model of this love is a perfect Lover. The loved one is not also perfect, it wasn’t love by its qualities of perfection but by its unique character to appreciate love and return it in an unexpected ways.

The journey of finding love and accepting it is not a walk in the park. It is a hard work from both ends who holds the rope that connects them. And through that rope is a hand at the center that will never let go. It will hold tight because through that hand flow the perfect love towards both ends.

Love is process, it can be easy as long as there is always room for forgiveness and more chances to try again.

Love takes two imperfect hearts to bravely venture into the path of seeking the true perfect love.
